Per Marc Stein, the Clippers are prepared to sign Bobby Simmons to a 10-day contract after All-Star weekend. Simmons had a productive stint with the Clippers in the early/mid-aughts before fading into Bolivian. Hopefully this is just a short-term stopgap before the Clippers make a more significant move to upgrade their wing depth. Nevertheless, I’m excited about the acquisition, if only because Simmons can’t possibly be worse than Ryan Gomes. Simmons is a career 40% three-point shooter, meaning he has at least one more basketball skill than Gomes.

It’s great to see the Clippers making some moves, as the second half of the season kicks off the Clippers are strong play off contenders and are definitely looking to make a run this year. Simmons has some decent stats and has proved himself as an NBA player.
i love how that’s a picture of him dunking on ridnour.
Ridnour had 23 blocks in the 2004-05 season. This was not one of them.
This will help upgrade their wing depth, which is moving in the right direction for the Clippers. This 10-day contract will give Simmons a great opportunity to join a perennial playoff team, I hope he makes the best of it.
